Message from the BAGIS Board President
Dear sports community, our valued youth, and the tug-of-war family,
As the Turkish Tug-of-War Federation, we are proud to bring together a long-standing tradition with a modern understanding of sports. Tug-of-war is not only a sport of strength, but also the most concrete expression of solidarity, discipline, strategy, and team spirit. We are determined to spread this sport throughout our country and offer our youth a strong vision for the future.
We operate with representatives in all 81 provinces; we strengthen the institutional infrastructure of the sport with national competitions, organizations, and referee training. Our aim is not only to train athletes, but also to raise individuals who are self-confident, responsible, and have embraced a culture of achieving together.
We believe in our youth. Their energy, determination, and dreams are our greatest source of motivation. We see it as our fundamental duty to keep our youth away from bad habits through the unifying power of sport, and to encourage them to lead a healthy, active, and productive life.
Our federation continues its work within the framework of transparency, sustainability, and international collaborations. Our goal is to elevate Turkey to a strong position in tug-of-war, not only at the national level but also on the international stage.
I thank all our athletes, coaches, referees, representatives, and supporters who contribute to this great family; and I invite you to walk together towards a stronger future with the unifying spirit of sport.
